OK, Jack!

Here are the pics of how I mounted my GPS holder. It took me a while to borrow a camera. (No, I didn't take them 01/01/08! I just changed the batteries!)

This is on the left handlebar and I just used two zip ties.

I'm running out of room! The leather thing is my bottle/cup holder that I made from an old UPS belt.

For power I plugged into a power outlet that I have hanging in the fairing by the radios and ran the cord up through the louvered side piece.

The unit just snaps in. I mounted this just before my trip last summer so it has lasted over12k miles. It hasn't even rotated or slipped any.

It is also easy to glance at in the twisties to see how much curve you're getting into! I don't like the built in position on the Gold Wing, you have to look too far off the road.

We plan on being in Helen Ga. this Sunday. The 16th. Im going to pick up my radiator grill cover. The man that makes them lives near-by and is going to meet us there. If you are in the area 423-883-1816...Ill buy you one of those bottles that fit into the holder on your bars, maybe several..

We're talking about a ride this Sunday. If we end up in Helen I'll give you a call! Any idea what time you'll be around?

Have you seen this thread Second Annual North Ga. M&E 3-29 (MRE&R!), only an hour or so down from Chattanooga!

Todd buddy, the 60's must have been reeeaaal good man!:rotf:

If there are pics in that first message, I'm not seeing the pics or any hint that there are any. Maybe I'm the one reliving the 60's!!

UPS Belt??? You are a UPSer... in Marietta? Good grief. I put in 23 years with UPS at Fulton Industrial, Forest Park and on the road!! I'm so glad to be gone from there. My prayers are with you!

Tim

23 and out??? :confused07: Is that enough to retire?

I was in Marietta, out of the Roswell building. 8 years was enough! We'll have to trade war stories one day!

Thanks for the pics Todd. I like the zip tie mount. I'd been thinking about drilling and tapping a couple of holes in the riser, but I think I like the tie idea better. :thumbsup2:
