Squidley Posted March 21, 2014 Share #2 Posted March 21, 2014 Chris, There are quite a few of us that have taken the covers off the rotors. It gives the bike a completely different look. I have taken them off every 2nd gen I owned (3 of them so far) Pull the front rim off, take a torx bit and pull the bolts off. Remove the cover, put a little blue locktite on the threads and tighten them back up.... and for your original question, I'm not sure about the different rotors. Cougar Posted March 21, 2014 Share #4 Posted March 21, 2014 Took mine off a few years ago and I just could not stand the squeal when braking. put them back on the it stopped. make note on what side the weights are on when removing. not all of them do it though.
