I am using my new iPad to view this sight. I keep getting a pop up that suggests using an APP tapatalk. Any idea what this is and is there a benefit to using this app compared to accessing through google. Thanks Rob

I use Tapatalk from my Ipad and Iphone and it works fine. The formatting may be better for the smaller screens.

I tried it on my smartphone. I actually prefer to use the normal web version on my phone as well. It did seem to work however.

I administrate the forum for our Star Touring Chapter. I installed tapatalk service on it because some of my users were requesting it. Since then I've picked up a Nexus 7 tablet and tried using tapatalk with it.

 

It's a more compact way to interact with the forum that is cleaner on a small screen. On the other hand a lot of the bells and whistles are missing, at least for my site. I prefer using a browser, even on the 7" screen.

 

The Android tapatalk app was free, and I'm guessing it's free in the Apple Store too. Makes it pretty cheap to try out......

That's all I've used for the last 5 months on my cell phone. Not full access for sure but a quick and easy way to touch base on the forums here and sevearl other sites i check on a regular basis.

 

It works, its free and easy to use. You got nuttin to lose by trying it out.
