rooster1 Posted February 20, 2008 Share #1 Posted February 20, 2008 :confused24:can anyone tell me how many pins a c bus cable has. and if a clarion dcz 625 clarion cd changer will work on a 2006 venture.
CrazyHorse Posted February 20, 2008 Share #2 Posted February 20, 2008 Get an Ipod/MP3 player instead of having that big old CD player taking up space.
relic Posted February 20, 2008 Share #3 Posted February 20, 2008 The Clarion Cd player is the one used by Yamaha. I bought mine aftermarket and it is plug and play. Same cord
bar836 Posted February 21, 2008 Share #4 Posted February 21, 2008 Just from experience, I would buy an I-pod or something other than the CD. I have had two and both quit working, they skip a bunch and the take up quite a bit of room in the bags. IMHO
wuzfuzz Posted February 23, 2008 Share #5 Posted February 23, 2008 . yes., the 625 will work just fine.
Freebird Posted February 23, 2008 Share #6 Posted February 23, 2008 Folks...it's been a while since I messed with the CDs but if I remember correctly, there were a couple of different 625s. They had different interfaces. One had a C Bus and the other was something different and only one would work. I think the one that WOULD work was a CDC625 or something like that. I'm THINKING that the dcz was the one that would not work. I may be wrong though, it's been a long time.
SpaceMan Posted February 23, 2008 Share #7 Posted February 23, 2008 Hi: I can tell you FOR SURE that the DC625 DOES work with the 2007 Venture. I am not sure about the DCZ625, but I agree with an earlier reply that there are more than one type of model 625 out there. You need the one that says C BUS right on the front of the box. DC625 is definitely direct fit, plug'n'play. Better check DCZ625 closer. By the way... for those of you who use Ipod..... how do you change tracks or volume, etc, at 120 km/hr? I like the CD because I have the stock hand controls at my finger tips (gloved finger tips that is!). Spaceman
Freebird Posted February 23, 2008 Share #8 Posted February 23, 2008 I don't change tracks. I put it on "random" and let it go.
jer878 Posted February 25, 2008 Share #9 Posted February 25, 2008 Forget the CD player and get an MP3player. Plugs right in and no skipping and LESS expensive. I know from experience.
kbran Posted February 26, 2008 Share #10 Posted February 26, 2008 If someone wants one I have one I'll sell. I did go to mp3 player.
midnightventure Posted March 3, 2008 Share #11 Posted March 3, 2008 The models with Z in the number are not compatible. Only the ones with cbus work. I also have gone from the 6 CD changer to MP3 player. Like it much better and it takes up almost no room.
