dingy Posted March 10, 2013 Share #4 Posted March 10, 2013 The bike has a safety circuit in the fuel pump relay. If it does not detect an ignition pulse after 4~5 seconds, it disables the fuel pump. This is to prevent gas from being pumped out in the event of a crash. There is another sensor that will kill motor if bike falls over. reddevilmedic Posted March 10, 2013 Share #5 Posted March 10, 2013 also, the kickstand switch will prevent it from starting...as i recall..if its definately fuel pump, try mr. gasket 42s...
dingy Posted March 10, 2013 Share #6 Posted March 10, 2013 also, the kickstand switch will prevent it from starting...as i recall..if its definately fuel pump, try mr. gasket 42s... Side stand relay is not in the fuel relay circuitry. Pump will run its usual 4~5 seconds when key is turned on regardless of clutch, gear, side stand switch positions. The kill switch will prevent it from running at all though if it's off. Gary
