Need source for carb diaphrams & cutoff air valves diaphrams

Recommended Posts

I don't remember the name right now but Ken Haymen "Laser917" hooked me up with a website that sold Yamaha Marine parts. It seems the carbs are the same and I got Diaphams for half what the bike sites wanted. I think I paid about $45 each for them. Contact Ken.

Define reasonable :) I got the main diaphragms for about 55 each from either Ronayers.com or Zanotti Motors. Both have been very reliable dealers for me with good prices. By "air cutoff valve diaphragms", I assume you mean for the enrichener circuit? I didn't buy those, but they were about $28 each if memory serves. If I find those bad in my carbs I think I can disable the enrichener circuit which may result in a bit of popping on decel but should have no real negative effect.

Taking a quick look, zanotti motors is lowest, don't know about their service.

But I'd ALSO like to find a cheaper source.

Bob, I've also heard that you can succesfully use "Liquid Electrician's Tape" to seal pin holes in the diaphragms.

Now to hijack this thread for a minute :hijacked:! Have you and loehring seen the N Ga M&E thread for this Saturday? Hopefully you and Chip can make it. You could hook up with Blackjack and ride over.:biker:

Now back to your regularly scheduled thread! :whistling:

Yea I saw the M & E post but unfortunately the bike wasn't ready. As you can see I'm in the middle of putting a new motor in. I had used the liquid tape thing in the past but, carb problems has been an ongoing issue with this bike so i figured, what the heck, new motor, time to bite the bullet a replace those carb rubbers. When I get it back together this time I want it to be 100%.

But I'll see you at the Feb M&E, for sure.
