Midrsv Posted October 23, 2006 Share #1 Posted October 23, 2006 Does anyone here ride with a heated jacket liner? If so, how did you run the electrical connections and what type/brand of jacket are you using? Since I try to ride to work when ever the temps are above freezing I'm thinking I could extend to those high 20's days with a heated jacket. What are your thoughts? BuddyRich Posted October 23, 2006 Share #2 Posted October 23, 2006 I use a Gerbings Heated vest. I also bought the adjustable controller. I mounted the control unit on the passenger mount floorboard cover. I then ran the plug to the top of the left side cover. I'll post some pics when I get back home late tonight. The vest is very warm but when it gets down into the low 40's and 30's I use a fleece pull ove ron top of it and then the thing will fry me if I want it to. Good thing about a heated vest is you can feel the cold on your feet and knees but it really doesn't get cold because your chest and back are staying WARM. stardbog Posted October 24, 2006 Share #4 Posted October 24, 2006 I Know that guy use to work with Gerbings , and they stole his controler patent. I Have Complete http://www.widder.com/html/Product/System2/index.html Outfit. reason is less power draw, and cost less. Better heat transfer, then gerbings
