Bulldawg Posted December 28, 2007 Share #1 Posted December 28, 2007 I just bought a '99 Roadstar. Always liked this bike. Hope I'm happy. LOL. Now I have an '83 VR for sale - I don't need both. Not sure what kind of price to ask with 33K miles - will wait for spring and maybe throw it on ebay....I don't know........what do you guys think? mini-muffin Posted December 28, 2007 Share #3 Posted December 28, 2007 Keep the 83 can't have too many bikes. At least that's what my husband thinks. We're up to four. Margaret
rod Posted December 28, 2007 Share #4 Posted December 28, 2007 I have a good friend with a Road Star and he has a 1st Gen trunk on it for more storage and passenger comfort. I built a rack for his brother in law so he could do the same. Made a platform and legs that go where the backrest goes. It takes about 5 min to change it. I also put a pipes, air cleaner, dyna ingnition, and rejeted it and it realy inleashed the beast in it. I don't think it handles as well as the Ventuers (I have 2nd gen he has an 84). I would keep both if it was me. But I don't think you can have too many bikes. Have fun and ride safe Rod
