Bumper style bike hauler

I had one of those many many years ago to pull my Honda CB350 around the country. They work OK for lighter bikes but I don't know if the RSV (either gen) would fair too well in one of these carriers. :sign13:

You'd have to get the front wheel in the holder (might be a real chore) and then figure out a way to secure the handlebars so the bike won't tip over. :whistling::whistling::whistling:

Also, I'm not sure how lubrication is routed to the final drive part of the transmission. If the engine isn't running, is fresh oil getting to where it's needed? Sure would make me think twice. When I had the CB350, I removed the chain so the real wheel was free rolling.:rolleyes::rolleyes:

I bought one of these to bring a Maxim 650 home. Should have known better, but I failed to secure the handlebars to the truck. First turn out of the driveway, and the bike tipped, bending the hitch attachment. Gave up and rented a trailer. Good idea, perhaps, but would need to be properly engineered.

As far as the final drive, it has it's own oil reservoir, so no worried there.
