Harmonicashawn Posted September 7, 2011 Share #1 Posted September 7, 2011 While doing another repair- I discovered that the electric dampers on the front forks were disconnected. Any opinions on why someone would disconnect them would be helpfull. I reconnected them, but have yet to ride it.
dingy Posted September 7, 2011 Share #2 Posted September 7, 2011 While doing another repair- I discovered that the electric dampers on the front forks were disconnected. Any opinions on why someone would disconnect them would be helpfull. I reconnected them, but have yet to ride it. I disected several sets of forks, cutting lower fork tubes in half and one inner tube. From this I made some CAD models of the entire fork assemblies in order to understand the anti dive system. From what I think I understand, the AD's are only effective the last 3/4" of compressed fork travel. If you have progressive springs in, get rid of the AD's, they are a large current eater, when in traffic. Skydoc 17 sells a set of block off plates to eliminate them completly.
