Sylvester Posted June 14, 2011 Share #1 Posted June 14, 2011 How do you store mc tires? Do you store them on their side or on the tread? I got a heck of a deal on two Dunlop D-404WWW, so I bought them. They were made in early Dec. 2010 and I won't install them until next fall. They are covered with a tire plastic with elastic in the center to keep it fairly tight. I will not put them in the garage attic due to heat, but will leave them on ground level. OB-1 Posted June 15, 2011 Share #2 Posted June 15, 2011 I would store them standing upright. Laying them on their side will make seating the bead more difficult.

Real tough to seat beads when the tire has collapsed from laying on its side. Also you want to store them where there isn't a lot of ozone (electric motors, electrical equipment) or ultraviolet light (sunshine).
Sylvester Posted June 15, 2011 Author Share #4 Posted June 15, 2011 Thanks, I have them in the shop in the shade and they are upright. I tend to turn the once in a while.
