OK I was looking at my bike were they install the rectifier, regulator and I seen something that just does not look right to me. The plug and wires are attracted to the bottom to and hanging down. I would think it should be up in the bike as to not be exposed to the ground could someone take a look at this for me on there bike to see if it is right.

Mine is solid on the bottom, wires come out the top. Appears they just installed it upside down.

Its upside down.......Guess the dealer didnt want to make it hard on themselves if they need to access the rectifier again.

either that, or the reason he's had so much trouble fixing it is that he reads the maintenance manual upside down.

I think it is all about it was easy. For me thats not good. I would think it was put on the bike with the wires on top to protect them and keep something from the road from bouncing up and hitting the plug. Could you Imagen being 500 miles from home something bouncing up and taking out that plug or even cutting the wires. NOT GOOD.

Yep, Tell the dealer his ACE NUMBER 1 MECHANIC put it on upside down!!!
