Delaware trip

My wife and I are going to Delaware in a few weeks for a mission trip with the Church. That trip will take 6 days. I'm off for 2 1/2 weeks so I'm going to trailer the bike up. I want to leave Delaware and find a place where I can ditch the truck and ride for a few days. We want to see Niagra falls and any other interesting places around the area. We don't like crowded roads and will do almost anything to stay off the interstates. Any ideas will be helpful. Thanks in advance. PS I'm located in Tuscaloosa Alabama

as far as ditching the truck.....unless you have family.....we go to the local dealer and ask to leave the truck there.....most of the time , they even let me leave it in the back in a gated and locked area....

I should be in DE the 21st and 22nd after leaving Don's Maintenance Day in Ohio. I will be crossing PA on Route 6 to Scranton, PA then south into DE camping at Cape Henlopen in Lewes, DE! Great place while in DE and right next door to Rehobeth Beach, DE

You could head north to Scranton on your way to Niagara falls, ny! You could even travel along Route 6 (rated a motorcycle road by Harley Davidson) Route 6 will also get you to the Grand Canyon of PA http://pacanyon.com/

If your going down to Lewes. I think RT#9 is nice. But if its high tide the water comes up on the road a little at some low lying places. One time I went thru the water it was too high. I should have turned around and took 95 down to Dover, then back on 9. Didnt stall but it was over the pipes and I had water shooting up thru the fairing...lol Me and a buddy like riding down that way. Nice tappy called "Sambos" is on the way down. Awesome crabcakes and lots of bikes most days I have been there. I would be up to riding down to Lewes. If you want a escort....lol I'm in that area in PA.
