Waterproof Trunk?

Recommended Posts

I was messing around in the trunk today and noticed that on both sides of the trunk is a "channel" and there's also a drain on the left side. Then I noticed that the trunk doesn't have a rubber seal? So is the trunk pretty much waterproof or does it leak a lot?

Thanks,

Wally

me too

have spent many miles in the rain, the lips just channel the water away, you would have to pray water up under the lip to make it wet inside.

I have never had any clothing or anything get wet in the trunk and I have been in some pretty serious rain. I did have some loose "Tums" rolling around in the trunk that got under the mat and sure enough during a rain event I had a white substance leaking out the drain hole and falling all over the tops of the bags. What a mess in the trunk but still nothing got wet inside the truck so the channels in the bottom much be channeling water from somewhere to the drains.
