:bang head:hi all

i have a full exhaust on my rstd i just bought. and they did not jet the carb. is there a jet kit out there for a 05 rstd. i cant find one.

What do you mean by "full exhaust"??? can you be more specific?

Most exhaust mods don't require re-jetting (that I know of).

I really don't think re-jetting will do anything .... but plugging the AIS (I think that is the acronym for it) might.... do a search...I've read several posts about this. I have the RK's on mine with the baffles removed (almost like straight pipes) and I get a lot of popping on decel too.

Wow, reading this has me more confused than ever? Not trying to hijack the thread but I have bubs on my RSV. I was getting a little backfiring on decel and thought I should have it looked at before two Arkansas trips I had scheduled.

I took it to a Yamaha dealer and he cleaned the carbs and adjusted them. I now get some pretty serious backfiring on decel (ESPECIALLY THE HILLS) from my right side.

I am not a great mechanic but feel confident the dealers aren't so hot either.

Iam still in a quandary as what steps to take.

Yes the bike will need to be rejetted for your particular system.

Bub is the only maker of a full exhaust for the Venture/RSTD that I know of and it's expensive.

I don't think anyone makes a "kit". You'll have to have it pieced together from separate jets I believe, but I could be wrong.

If you don't want the hassle, you could always mount up the factory headpipes with the Bub mufflers.
