Bigfoot Posted September 2, 2009 Share #1 Posted September 2, 2009 On my last day of my New England trip I was loading the bike up at the hotel and I thought the trunk looked a little low. I didn't pay attention as I was in a hurry to get home. Once I got home and off loaded everything I saw what the problem was. Not one, but both bolts holding the trunk to the bracket next to the bags had come out. I checked and tightened pretty much everything I could find before leaving for my trip but never thought of checking these. I asked the parts guy at the Yamaha dealership if he'd ever see this before and in all his years he had not. The bolts were replaced and all is fine but better check yours. Eck Posted September 3, 2009 Share #2 Posted September 3, 2009 I have seen it many times........ Mine did the same thing in NC. I had to stop and buy a metric bolt while there.. I'ld be willing to bet he has seen it too but just didnt want to admit to it.. It is very common of the Ventures for these bolts to become loose and or fallout.
