Laporte MN. area motels?

Barb and I are planning on going to Laporte MN next weekend for the Pork in the Pines Pig roast & rides. Does anybody have a list of which motels would be the best?

frank, don,t know about the best but walker mn would be your closest bet. they have all the standard[ super 8 etc.] and a nice motel at the casino. we did breakfast at casino last year and it,s about30 miles. walker mn is a tourist town and they have alot going on labor day so i,d check availability. otherwise i,d p.m. grandpagak and i,m sure he,d know better. see you up there. al

Last year we stayed in a small mom & pop style motel in Lake George, NW of Grandpagak's about 10?? miles. Nothing special, but a place to call home for a couple nights. Reasonable and close to the festivities. Maybe Grandpagak can help out with the name of it. It's on the north side of the main road thru town. Larry

The closest motel is the Lake George, in Lake George, MN. It does fill up quick though this time of year as it is bear season.

Thanks for your help!! I looked for the motel list yesterday, but it looks like I didn't read down far enough on the PIP update page........It was especially great that the phone numbers and distance were there also. We will be there Friday and hope to meet a bunch there.
