craigatcsi Posted June 16, 2009 Share #1 Posted June 16, 2009 As posted in a different thread, I just picked up my BushTec Trailer yesterday. As for Storage, I thought I would hang it from the wall of my Garage - to keep it safe when not in use. Do any of you do this? Would hanging it from the eyelet in the Tongue be okay or better from the frame? Craigr
MiCarl Posted June 16, 2009 Share #2 Posted June 16, 2009 Tongue should be strong enough to hold it. I'd be tempted to mount a ball to the wall, ez on, ez off.
Freebird Posted June 16, 2009 Share #3 Posted June 16, 2009 I used to do that but just haven't in a while. I actually hung a small come a long from the ceiling to lift the trailer.
craigatcsi Posted June 16, 2009 Author Share #4 Posted June 16, 2009 I used to do that but just haven't in a while. I actually hung a small come a long from the ceiling to lift the trailer. I thought of the Come-Along thing, but I'm too lazy for that. I figured I would buy an electric Winch and use it to hoist it up. craigr
Eck Posted June 16, 2009 Share #5 Posted June 16, 2009 I'ld have to build a little garage attached to my cage garage, to store it in............
BOO Posted June 17, 2009 Share #6 Posted June 17, 2009 I've stood trailers up in a garage before and also lifted them with rope and pulleys. I think if I had a trailer for behind the bike I would try and lift it up the flat way to maintain floor space. BUT you could do what I do now, my neighbor has a trailer that I can borrow when I want and he gets to store it. BOO
Brake Pad Posted June 17, 2009 Share #7 Posted June 17, 2009 I cleaned out my garage and made room for it.
dr_bar Posted June 17, 2009 Share #8 Posted June 17, 2009 I bought stands for my trailer that slide into the frame at the rear. When you want to store it, slide them in and tip the trailer up on to the stands. The tow bar can be unbolted and slides toward the rear of the trailer for ceiling clearance...
