venturebud Posted May 3, 2009 Share #1 Posted May 3, 2009 Hey Guys, My riding buddy has an 03 Venture Royal Star. It has quit on him. He was told it was the switch, so he bought a new one, and replaced the battery, and still nothing. Anyone have a suggestion on where we should look next. Squidley Posted May 3, 2009 Share #2 Posted May 3, 2009 Start checking fuses and the wiring between the triple tree and the gooseneck frame. BTW does it turn over at all?

No it won't do anything. He has checked the fuses and all are good.
Freebird Posted May 3, 2009 Share #5 Posted May 3, 2009 Does it do anything at all? When the key is on, does he get lights, dash, etc.? Does it try to turn over but just not start or just does nothing at all? There are a few things that could cause this. There is a relay just behind the engine under the center cover that went out on Sleeperhawks bike at Maintenance day a couple of years ago. Could also be the side stand switch. More details MIGHT help....not sure though.
