KeithR Posted April 4, 2009 Share #1 Posted April 4, 2009 (edited) I just purchased a Piggy Backer XL and decided to have the tires balanced. Guy looked at me funny because I guess nobody balances trailer tires! It may have been a waste of money but at least now I know. All 3 were off...2oz...1-3/4oz....3/4oz. Lug Nuts are to be torqued to 100 ft-lbs Before I put the trailer together I had 4 straps made up with a "D" ring on the end and attached them with the hold down bolts. May never need them but if I want to use a cargo net or tie something down so it don't shift they are there. Now only another month or so and I can ride!!!!! (because of the snow that is!) Cougar Posted April 4, 2009 Share #2 Posted April 4, 2009 good job on the tie downs. nice and simple when I got my XL a few years back I did take them down and have them balanced the 12 inch tires will fit on there balancer My piggy tires were way off I had lots of wights added. so go ahead and do it. You will love your Piggy I know I do! Jeff
