Iceman Posted February 9, 2009 Share #1 Posted February 9, 2009 I just finished a winter bike project and am very happy with the results. I have a 98 RSTD, had it a couple of years. The valve guides started leaking and puffing out smoke once in a while. I liked the bike but didn't like the smoke and I wanted a little more zip. I bought a 2004 RSV engine/trans, 2007 RSV carbs, bub full exhaust, Dyna 3000, K&N pods and some other goodies. I also bought a bike stand from Carbon One (which worked perfect) and started tearing it down Thanksgiving week. I searched for and studied everything I could find, especially the wisdom of venture riders. A special thanks to my brother Pete who listened to my challenge every day, for the knowledge given to my by Freebird and Pegscraper, and others who have posted tech help. I don't have any pictures yet, but am working on them. Thanks, Iceman
