Short armed I guess. By what I have read, I am not sure that just the Flanders along will give me what I need. Has anyone used both at the same time??? Steve S Posted November 9, 2008 Share #2 Posted November 9, 2008 If you haven't purchased your bars yet, talk with the salesman and see if you can get a set of bars that have an inch more pull back. Plus the fairing bounces around if you don't provide some additional support. I am considering the Flanders bars. I think they are a better option than the risers. It was not an easy task, it is a lot more involved then just swapping out the bars. I used Buckeye Performance for the complete kit. The kit included handlebars and brake and clutch steel lines. I also decide t use the original grips and bar end weights. The part # to the Flanders bar is 650-08763. No I did not look for a different model to bring them closer I don't like to be crowded in front of me ( that is why I did not buy a HD). Ever go for a long ride and get that weird uncomfortable pain between your shoulder blades? This is the answer to that issue. I have the Gen-Mar risers and they made it much better, but like the others,i don,t like the bars hitting the tank cowl.Also,my hands tend to go to sleep on longer rides and was wondering if this would help.I used to have a Honda Shadow 1100 and never had that problem,but handlebars had different angle at the grips.
