llaczo Posted June 20, 2007 Share #1 Posted June 20, 2007 What's the prevailing wisdom with the RSTD and Roadhouse Sharkfin Slipons, to rejet or not to rejet? I'm hearing rejetting isn't necessary, I see folks on here that run them. Any feedback?
Freebird Posted June 20, 2007 Share #2 Posted June 20, 2007 I've not tried the Roadhouse but I've tried several different mufflers and my opinion is that you will not have to re-jet with any of them.
DAN STEVENSON Posted June 20, 2007 Share #3 Posted June 20, 2007 I am running the road house exhaust. The tech where I bought the bike said re jetting woul help the bike run better. I feel like the re jetting was a good idea. Feels like it runs better. I also pluged the AIS. Good luck.
wizard Posted June 21, 2007 Share #4 Posted June 21, 2007 I'm running the Roadhouse slip-ons and did not re-jet. The bikes runs fine. I've never dynoed the Yamaha, or had the exhaust checked, but seat of the pants, it runs great.
Guest Deerjunky Posted June 21, 2007 Share #5 Posted June 21, 2007 I have the sharkfins too. If anything, they improved my performance without rejetting. I hear people complaining about hearing the popping on decel--which happens and hurts nothing. I enjoy the popping on decel, and I plugged the AIS to prevent backfiring. There is a difference between popping and backfiring. Love the Roadhouse sharkfins! Jim
