Have not done this before is there anything to watch for or not to do ? i am still looking for a thread for this procedure but paint , body work , and most mechanical i am ok with computer searches not so much. They are easily removed by screwing a used spark plug (plug wire end) into the center to pull them out. Would be a good time to drain and replace all of the coolant and there are write ups on that. In fact if you find one of those there most likely is a description of replacing the freeze plugs.

When changing the coolant I highly recommend adding some water pump lubricant. The coolant says it comes with water pump lube in it. But it is not enough. Add a little more and you greatly reduce the stress on the water pump bearings and seal.
