djh3 Posted August 24, 2019 Share #3 Posted August 24, 2019 From my experience doing just a valve adjustment, I would say not. It was all I could do to get valve cover off. baylensman Posted August 26, 2019 Share #5 Posted August 26, 2019 I did it on the 96, i order to replace the head gasket. One of the top rails actually unbolted and allows to lift the front head out. Watch the dang timing chain and cam alignment markers when reinstalling, did mine 3 times as the shop manual was a bit unclear.
