7 days to burn. Planned on doing the entire BRP and visit other sites in NC

My wife was out with some women friends this weekend and mentioned we were planning a trip to travel the entire Blue Ridge Parkway. They immediately told her she would never enjoy it on a motorcycle because it's way too windy with constant twists and turns. They also mentioned to plan ahead for lodging because places were few and far between and when getting off to visit the small towns they were just a dot on the map with only a small store and possible gas station. Due to the fact that this will be a 7 day trip, I was hoping for some input from those of you who have experienced this ride. Whether negative or positive feedback, it would be greatly appreciated. Is it worth our valuable vacation time? I understand that this is a mountain region with twists and turns, but is it constant? I would like to be sure it is going to be enjoyable for my wife as well. Thanks for the input.

I have had my Monser Ovals on my RSV for about a year.My riding season is limited due to the winter months but i still was able to get around 5000 miles on my Vance and Hines Monster Ovals and i have had no problem as of yet with the chrome plating coming off or pitting.

Don,Thats why i bought my monster oval bought them for about half the retail price nice deep rumble and perfect sound out on the highway on my RSV not obnoxious.And wait until you crank on it your gonna rip your ears off with the smile you will have.I know the sound will be different on your Harley but your gonna love them.

Have you tryed spraying a little silicon on both sides where the latching mechanism moves in and out.sometimes if you spray them the door will work properly again.

I want to put monster ovals on my 06rsv and I understand about having to make a mounting bracket but what else is needed? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

If you bought the Harley Davidson license plate bracket light kit model #68230-97b and wanted the chrome visors here is the part # The Harley part #for chrome visors is 66734-88t
