  1. Then yours is wired up wrong...and illegal.

The law clearly states that it must be wired ONLY to the high beam.

    Monty,

Can you send me the reference the only thing I could find Federal says either that is the 2008 revision of the nhtsa regulation? I want to make sure I am legal if I decide to keep the modulator.

  2. Once I figure out how to turn it off, I will aim my head light and see how it looks. The pics defiantly paint a good picture. One thing I have noticed my netural light flashes at the same rate as the modulator so does the modulator put more draw on the system?

  3. My bike had them when I bought it, low beam only. I am still on the fence whether I like it or not. I was in a group ride yesterday and the person in front of me said he could not see my headlight only the driving lights so I am not sure if it is actually doing any good.

  4. Great pictures! Wow' date=' I was really there! :whistling: George and I relly enjoyed meeting you and Bobbi and look forward to another Meet and Eat! David and Laura enjoyed it too![/color']

Hope to ride with you guys again soon!:thumbsup2:

We really enjoyed ourselves need to find a place around Charlotte so it will not be as long of a ride for David and Laura. I have been looking at places around here that would be good also.

  5. So why Norfolk? Business or pleasure? I live in Va Beach and will gladly meet up. Just give advance notice. Perhaps we can get Mini and Muffinman to ride over for a little M&E.

  6. Thanks Joe for the pictures. You done good!! Usually we never get to see Bobbie in pics, cause she is the official taker where she goes. Hard to get in there when you are the trigger person. Glad you guys made it back to Charleston ok. Maybe we meet in the future. Hope so!

Your welcome. What a great bunch of folks!! I am not accustomed to being in the pictures either, I am usually the shutterbug so maybe now Bobbie will be in more pics too. I knew it was a good sign when we had almost identical cameras.

I think my next trip to Norfolk instead of flying I am going to ride and hopefully I can meet some new Venture Riders on the way.

Thanks to Etcswjoe and his wife, Bobbi, we learned of a great hamburger place right here in Columbia, just a few blocks from where I work! Pawley's Porch was featured in Diners Drive In's and Dives hosted by Guy Fieri. Joe and Bobbi rode up from Charleston, Painterman and Shadow Queen rode down from North Carolina and Chuck who works with George joined us for the feasting!

The fried pickles and calamri appetizers were outstanding and then the burgers arrived! Yum, yum!:thumbsup2:

We are back at the house, waiting to sample some of the blueberry peach cobbler I made!

Here are pictures! More to come later!

  9. We used one in the lab to clean electronics, we used a special solvent. The only advantage I could find is it broke up the crime between stuff without taken them apart.

    Do a foil test:

Cut a small rectangle of aluminum foil (maybe 1"x3")

    Fill the cleaner with water

    Turn it on

Dip half the foil rectangle into the water for a little bit (maybe 15-30 seconds, or until you see results)

Pull out the aluminum foil. It should have dimples (and possible small holes) through it.

The cleaner will break the grime up use a brush or cloth to see if it wipes away eaiser. There are specialized solutions you can buy and there are probally recipes on the net.

  10. If you have the time start on 16 in Jefferson NC and take it all the way to St Mary's it's just a little over 300 miles. My grandmother lived off of 16 in Marion Va and it's a great rode to ride.

  11. Good thing you weren't riding it at the time.

Welcome aboard, Chief. Good to see another "Twidget" in here.:happy34:

  12. My front tire was cupped so I had it changed two weeks ago and I mistakenly assumed they would change out the vavle, however when I talked to the service manager he said it looked in good shape so he did not change it. Needless to say they are correcting the issue at no cost.

I was checking the air pressure yesterday before I went riding and when I took off the tire guage the center of the valve went shooting across the garage. I was thankfull it did not happen at speed.
