  1. :thumbdown:Well, After spending 3 days back and forth on email and the phone and after I rented a trailer and imposed upon a nieghbor to drive me 3hrs each direction the guys just calls and leaves a message that he sold it. What a jerk, I even called this morning telling him I was going to the bank and that I would be there in the morning. Why are people so inconsiderate.
  2. OK, So all I need are 5pin cables and to buy two headset? how do the headset interface with the 5 pin cables? do I need specific helmets? do I need to buy a specific type of headset or headset with specific connectors? Thanks Chris
  3. OK, I'm looking to figure out what exactly I would need in order to take advantage of the intercom on the 89 Venture. The bike does not come with helmets, headsets or any wires or cables so I have to start from ground zero. Where do I begin? Thanks
  4. Has anyone tried, or know if this will fit on an 89? Thanks Chris
  5. thanks, I was more concerned with how hard it was to actually get at the valves in order to adjust them and if the adjustment specs and procedure was readily available online. Thanks to everyone. I see there is some kind of ride in July that comes through Georgia, what's it all about?
  6. I'm an ASE certified mechanic but have never worked on bikes that much. What's involed in or cost for card synch, valve adjustments?, air ride compressor? etc. I know the air ride needs something as he said he had to add air manually, now whether or not it holds air is another thing! Thanks
  7. I'm getting ready to drive 3+ hours to go look at a 1989 that has 20K miles on it. Never owned one of these bikes before so any input is much appreciated. The bike looks really clean and in great shape. But other than that who knows. He's asking $3500 and sounds like he's willing to move just a tad but not much. I'd really appreciate any wisdom from those who have been there before me. I probably have to ride it home so I am a bit wary since it has not been riden much in the last couple years. Thanks to all. Chris
