  1. I run seafoam thru it every few months. Late October till March I call Jacksonville Fl home so its allways riding season for me. For New Years I put at least 1500 miles on it during a 4 day trip to the Keys. Always brand name gas like BP or Texaco and always the highest octane they have. Keep track of mileage every tank, something I do with all my vehicles. I should tell you that I am a full-time RVer so I dont have a garage or closed in area to work on it. I do most of my own work and I would buy Morgan Carbtune and rebuild them myself but I'm afraid of things being exposed to the elements.
  2. I have the manual but haven't pulled the side covers. I can tell you that when I adjust the jets on 1 and 2 there is no change at all in RPMs, and when I pulled the cap on the number 2 carb to check vacume a little gas trickled from it. Not sure if thats normal. Going to Deals Gap to ride the Dragon next week, guess I'll be riding my GS850. The suzuki"s alot more fun in the curves but I sure am going to miss that fairing with the chilly temps.
  3. New member here. I'm needing to find a mech. around Logan Ohio that can get my carbs right. I've owned the bike since last May. When I first got it it was low on power so I took it to a mechanic but it was worse. Took it to another shop and the bike still wasn't right. Took it to an old school shop and it ran much better but still seemed low on power and would shake under load, but after 3 shops I drove it like it was and the bike served me well. 20,000 mile later it had less power and the fuel mileage dropped. I called around but noone seemed to be interested in working on it so I made a manometer and tried to sync them myself but made it worse. Can someone suggest a good mechanic or fellow venture owner that has a carbtune and knows how to adjust in my area. It's an 1983
