  2. well with a brand spankin new bike i was hoping to not have to touch it LOL, the dealer i am using now seams to really have great mechanics that care and are very serious about their business
  3. Thanks toveryone for the welcome and support, the bike is now at a different dealer waiting on oil samples to come back, they already have the head gaskets and want to make sure the oil is ok due to the bike over heating the day the gaskets blew, if all is swell with the oil i should have the bike back friday and will be able to do my next iron butt ride of 1,500 miles in 36 hrs in the next few weeks...................Dave
  4. I guess you are correct but IMO the dealer is a direct reflection of the manufacturer if they allow them to sell the product? when they sent me away with the bike i went home , put it on the lift to check it out, the tires were 20 lbs low on air, mirrors were so loose they almost fell off on the trip home and the rear seal on the diff was dumping oil, brought it back, it stayed there for a week waiting on parts, then went back and got it, took a 800 mile ride and the diff went out due to lack of gear oil, i thought i was hearing "the whine" turns out it was the gears in the diff screaming LOL the new dealer i took it to called me and asked how long i rode it with no gear oil and i told them, ummm about 800 miles i guess thats when it was at the last dealer LOL
  5. I see that you are in Ohio, how close are you to Competition Accesories in Springfield? If your dealer can't get these bugs worked out i would take the bike there and let them look at it, they are a great dealership in my opinion. Sorry to hear about all of the bad luck you are having and i hope that you get your problems straightened out soon. Good luck! funny you should say that, they are most of the problem, they forgot the gear oil in the final drive after they replaced the o -ring that was leaking the day i drove the bike home after the purchase and they are the ones who did not do the TSB for the head gasket before delivery ....Dave
  6. I have been lurking here for a while soaking up info, seems like a great group of people, I traded in my 05 suzuki c-90t in mid july for a new 07 rsv, I have not got to ride it much because it has been in the dealer most of the time but i love the comfort and the storage of the bike so far, i have put 5,000 miles on my rsv so far and have had nothing but problems, so far my final drive went out on a trip, they had to completely change the whole unit, then my lower left leg guard cracked real bad, now it is back in the shop with 2 blown head gaskets. I put 25,000 trouble free miles on my c-90t in 2 years and hoping the bugs get worked out of my rsv so i can do the same with it. so far i have had to cancel 2 trips and 1 iron butt ride . did I make a mistake with purchasing my RSV? Thanks Dave
