  5. I think a lot if us understand. I don’t know why I still have one but it’s hard to let go.
  6. I don't think that I even realized the history page was gone. I'll get it restored in a day or so.
  7. A couple of things. How many miles on it? The '83 - mid '85 had a soft washer in the transmission that will eventually cause your to lose second gear. The other major thing is that the from, under the drivers seat, can hold water and eventually rust from the inside and crack. They are great bikes though. Enjoy.

  20. If you mean that it turns over very slowly, like the battery is low, that is a common problem on the first gens. Some people have had success installing a heavier gauge battery cable. Others have changed to a newer 4 brush starter.

  24. That looks OK but I would go aluminum all the way, including the floor.
  25. I agree with you. If I were buying a new trailer, I would definitely go with aluminum. I would also go with an open trailer simply because it is more versatile for me. I have an old steel trailer that needs a new wooden bet now and it pretty beat up in general but I'll probably put a bet in it and keep it. I seldom use it. When I need a better trailer, once or twice a year for just a few hours, I rent an aluminum from Tractor Supply. I pay less than $20.00 for 4 hours and that's about all I need it. Then I don't have to worry about upkeep or a place to park it while it sits here most of the time. I understand your situation is different but it works great for me.
