  1. Not real bad but I think it should be tighter. This bike has heal/toe shifter and floor boards. That may of helped wear it some. Thanks for the input.I will just live with it for now.I can make one if it gets to bad I think.
  2. Has anyone replaced the bushing for shifter rod where it comes out the the cover on left side.It does not show up on yamaha parts or i am looking in the wrong place for parts.Hope some one has a part number or a diy fix.It works but has some slop in it looks like a bushing is there but worn. Thanks for any help.
  3. Ok I made it back. The trip with the sidecar was a real pain in the A .The sidecar must be really off on the setting.Did not check it before trip with a person in it.Did not seam to bad when I rode around town with it empty, but with it loaded it was a hand full to drive. It pulled so bad to the right my arm was numb.I think maybe it got out of wack with the PO and he parked it.(He passed away sometime ago) I got it from his estate.I will have to go through the the hold setup of the thing.I know it should not be like this.As for power lose at hwy speed yes you lose some getup.A lot I am sure had to do with the way it pulled so bad.It would still run 65 but was a handful.I will get to work on it this week and let know what I found.
  4. It seams to have plenty of power around town.Have not been out on major highway with it yet.Have a trip planed for sunday and will let you know how it acts.It is a escort sidecar with electric tilt control from a switch on the bars.Really helps to dail it in on roads around here.I am sure it take away some but not rode one without sidecar can not compare it.I will get back with you after sunday and let you know. Thanks have a great day.
  5. Hi.I am new to the site as I picked up my first venture royale a few weeks ago.I live in Fl.and have been riding for 50+ years.I have rode a lot of bikes in my time but this is my first venture. Thanks to you all I have been able to take care of a lot of things on the bike already.I picked up a 87 venture royale 5th. Anv. gold'with all the extras on it.Oh,and it has a color matched sidecar on it too.It started out in ohio then came to fl. and now to me.Had been setting for a while so need a lot of TLC but it cleaned up good and after the basic tune up stuff it run good now.I have rode all kinds of bikes but this sidecar thing is realy different to drive.I am in my 70s now and still love to ride. Thanks again for all the good info on your site.
