  1. Looks like a May 1-5 delivery.

He informed me that all my ordered accessories are now in, including my cords needed to hook our helmets hard-wired to the bike's infotainment system. Hoooooooooooooooooooooray! Can't wait to try out all the goodies...intercom, CB...all of it. :)))))))))))))))))))))) All will be installed and ready to roll, by the end of next week. Nobody can see the twitch in my fingers, as I type this...LOLOLOLOL. It ain't coffee that's causing it....

The FIRST THING coming off the bike, let along getting put on...will be that obnoxious left side safety and fuel rating sticker upon the tank. Oh yeah...as soon as I get this beauty home and in bed....

I've waited for nearly six months to receive it. We ordered last October....so this has been one heck of a loooooooooooooong winter....way too long....

I also realized that in hindsight, I had too many of the same bike...same engine configuration, same, same...(5 Wings (for touring) in a row. It was...from my anticipation level for this beauty......time for a change. Really, was time for a change....so I raise a beer, to new adventures, as proud Yamaha groupies, er..ah...'owner's...lol.

CONGRATS Par! Rode a bit today, have 4800 miles on mine already. I need to remove that tank sticker myself!

Wait till your riding along and suddenly “caller ID” comes up in your screen on an incoming call! I love it! ENJOY!!

  2. I wanted to let everyone know that adding a secondary smartkey to your new venture can be easily done by yourself for a reasonable cost.

I researched the part # needed via Yamaha's parts website. The replacement smartkey is part # 2DF-86261-00-00. It is #36 on the parts diagram https://www.shopyamaha.com/parts-catalog/parts/street-mcy?nw=yamaha-motor-company#/Yamaha/STAR_VENTURE_-_XV19FJGY_-_2018/ELECTRICAL_2

I found it online for $170 shipped. It was backordered for a bit, but I finally received it yesterday. I followed the procedure from the service manual that is also posted in this forum for adding a smartkey. Now I have 2 working smartkeys!

I like to have a backup key for long trips just in case I lose one. I haven't yet lost one but you never know. When I had a Harley I would just remove the battery from the fob of the spare key. With the Venture, I will just turn off the smartkey that is the spare. By just turning it off I won't have to go through the hassle of opening the smartkey and removing the battery.

    Great info. Thanks!

  3. SMS Text Messages do not appear on screen.

I can't get any SMS text messages to appear on my screen. I hear the announcement from my iPhone that I have a new message but it never shows up to read. I have gone through the bluetooth and phone setup and read the manual several times, the messages simply never appear on screen.

The CALL portion of the interface is via blue tooth. If you want to have the other functions such as your music & text, you need to plug your phone into the USB. My iphone 7+ is too big for the right front pocket, so i plug it into the trunk one (USB2) port.

  4. Most seriously...I will think about that...and thank you for the links. So, they did the stock seat...and there is no custom pan, such as in Corbin, and such? Is that right?

I have snakeskin cowboy boots..and love the 'look' I get from the priest at our church where we celebrate Mass. You should see the look on his face, as I walk up to receive Communion, LOL! It's worth weekly JUST FOR THAT! Yeah I know...evil...lol.

You gotta laugh your way through Life, or Life will always get that last laugh in! Nope..that last snort will be mine, just before seeing the Pearly Gates come into view...or maybe not...lol...lol.

    Joe

Yes Joe, it’s the stock seat but the added some padding and deepened the tufting for a better “scoop”. They’re 2.5 hrs away about 1/2 hour east of Raliegh. I rode out there. Sat aroound watching movies and talking for 4.5 hrs while they did it, put it back on and rode home on it. BIG difference! The high rise back rest was a bit “bulbous” and didn’t sit right against my low back so I had them shave some of the foam off and scallop it better before covering.

I’ll make sure and watch out for the “critters WHEN I go to Florida!

Also, I’m an ordained Reverend and I wear a pair of Python snakeskin shoes at service! Yes, it gets me some looks, and when people ask about it I tell them “The Devil, that ole serpent ticked me off so I skinned him and made a pair of shoes outta him!” 🤣🤣 I usually get a chuckle outta that.

Of course seeing the guest minister come in with snakeskin shoes I can only imagine what the congregation is thinking: “”Oh boy! We’re in for a wild ride tonight!” I do my best to deliver.

youre right about the humor. Besides, it takes 33 muscles to frown & 13 to smile so why overwork? 😉

  5. Well, I have received many requests about Asheville(actually, just one so far) and would like to know how much interest there is?

I have to say that two years ago I seriously thought about cancelling due to lack of response and we ended up having a great time with some really great friends. We had a lot show up and some we had not seen for a while.

For anyone not familiar with the Asheville event, we usually have it around the third weekend of August at the KOA campground east of Asheville, near Swannanoa, NC. It is a beautiful campground and we kind of build a little village near the pond. For those that do not camp, there are cabins there and some motels close by.

This is a really laid back get-together with no registration fees and if you want a door prize, you will need to bring it. It is more like an extended meet and eat with some great riding and we always seem to do a lot of eating. I would especially like for some of our newer members to have an opportunity to meet some of us in person and have a great time.

And, it does not matter if you are on a Venture or a Harley or your pickup truck, we would still love to see you there.

    Randy

Would love to go Randy, but my anniversary is Aug 22nd & this year is our 30th. Call me stupid but I have a hunch she’d like something more than camping. As much as I love my SVTC, I don’t wanna sleep in the garage with it!

  6. Is this the model that gives a shiatsu massage while you're sitting in it?

LOL! No, just the regular hot butt if you have the heater on. Just an FYI: the seat & grip heaters are INTENSE! Riding in 40 degrees with heat set at (7), my butt was frying & my hands were burning THROUGH my gloves!

  7. Add my 'wow' to the above...and...that it is different from what most choose for custom skinning. I LIKE it!

You sir, are obviously a very proud SVTC owner..and I like that as much as the seat you put on her. It shows.....

    Safe rides...

    Joe

Thanks Joe! I am indeed. I’ve waited 12 yrs for my dream bike & finally have it. I’m constantly getting asked where I got my seat done. It was VERY reasonable too. It’s a husband & wife team who have 7 mobile trailers set up as upholstery shops. They do EVERYTHING, and even offered to wrap my dash but I’m not that bold. They have people from all over the country ship them their seats to do.

You can see their work here: http://instagram.com/all_things_u Their phone # is: *(919) 208-1803‬

just tell them TONY the Venture owner sent you! 😉

  8. INDEED = I would have a hard time covering something so purdy up with my backside - WOWZY WOW WOW WOW that is gorgeous!

I gotta ask Chief,, what is that material? It almost looks like snake or alligator skin on the sides with Ostrich on the top or something - definitely show bike quality.. Makes me think of the likes of StarFan 's machines... :scared:

    NICE!!!!!!!!!!!!

It’s alligator with python snakeskin accent.

    Thanks!

  9. ChiefGunner,

    WOWWWWW!!!!

    Lookie there!!!

That is one cool looking seat. I bet that was some serious "coinage", as you put it. I think that is cool for that bike, because the SVTC is a little bit not blingy, with all of the matte finish trim on it. I would say that is BLINGY for sure.

    Big Lenny

Exactly Lenny. They kinda subdued this model and I thought it needed some BLING. Next step is to get the rims polished. 😉

  10. As a long time Stratoliner fan, I was pleased when they finally announced a new touring bike was coming.

I demoed the Venture last week. Loved the way it rode. I like the looks and all the modern appliances.

I am a bit concerned with the heat that I felt coming from the bike. WAY more than the Stratoliner. Also concerned about the cost of tires.

When I received my quote from the dealer, it was straight up MSRP pricing. And they were only going to give me $3500 for my 09 Strat.

For those you that have bought one: Did your dealer move off of MSRP? Or did you pay the full monty?

Thanks in advance for any replies.

You probably can’t get this deal now, but I’ll share my experience anyhow. I was looking at SVTC back in July 2017 & as usual was looking for a deal. I’m in North Carolina but found a dealer in Texas on line that was offering a $2k rebate if you put the $500 down on Priority Delivery program.

I contacted my local dealer and they honored it! Then when the production delay happened, Yamaha gave me $1k for any extras I wanted because of the “inconvenience”. When it came time for financing, I went through my credit union who because of the size of the bike did it as a “New Car Loan” with rates starting at 2% for 66mos.

All I can say is shop comparatively and ASK. Worst they can say is NO.

  11. The pics below are taken from the actual hard copy of the magazine article that Duey posted the online version of found here:

    http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?135569-Gen3-Venture-Comparo&p=1033658#post1033658

Notice that the MSRP for the HD as tested (deluxe version with 2 tone paint) is only a few hundred dollars more than the MSRP on the as tested "TC" Venture (now if you were talking about comparing the Polaris - HOKEY SPAMOKEY = WAYYYYY OUT OF LINE IMHO).. Given, the Venture has the reverse gear but the HD has water cooled heads making it run cooler and allowing for better performance (out of the three bikes - Polaris, Yam and HD = HD had the best performance). For folks riding in higher temp areas, heat management may trump having a reverse and for folks who can no longer push a touring bike backwards then the reverse will trump having a cooler running bike IMHO..

As far as the 500 dollar difference in upfront cost if thinking bang for the buck,,,, it has been my experience (and given,, I am probably an oddball in this) that Harley's hold their value 2nd to none in the market place.. A good example is what you see early model Ventures (which I LOVE by the way) selling for, its not uncommon to grab a good running model for under a grand and have a non running parts bike even given away before seeing it go to a scrap yard.. I have bought and sold many Harleys of this same vintage and have yet to resale one for under 5 grand (more for the older Shovels in decent running condition) and 3 thousand for a parts HD big twin is actually a common low figure in todays starving market place - in all my years of buy/sell/ownership/fixin I have yet to see a HD big twin go to scrap and have seen many Yam Ventures end up in the scrap pile at their end... All that said,,, when it comes time for trade in or resale = that 500 dollar difference upfront will be repaid over and over again..

Another thing concerning value IMHO... While at Sturgis last year when demoing the new Venture I grabbed one of Mom Yams accessory books and it contained 3 pages of parts = all cosmetics.. I recently grabbed my new HD accessory book = 1 1/2 inch thick and that was just the accessory book.. HD also has what they call their "performance book" where everything from cams, jugs, pistons, push rods, tuners and on and on can be found and this little performance accessory book in itself is x20 of the Yam entire book...

Another issue has to do with the dealerships themselves when it comes to value IMHO... Around here our HD shops are HUGE into promoting our sport.. They offer everything from training courses to regular Meet n Greets. Our local metric shops - including Yamaha - offer nothing even close. Plus, the Harley shops found along the pathways criss crossing the country are 20 to 1 or better more popular than the Metrics IMHO..

I hope I dont sound like I am bad mouthing the Mother ship here cause I am not,,, its just that the choice to jump into the Harley circle and compete with The Motor Company was made by Mom Yam and, again IMHO, if she is gonna go toe to toe with the air cooled v-twin push rod world leader in both price and stated offerings than the facts of an open/honest comparo will prevail.

You sound more like a Harley afficiando than a Venture fan. There info on the TC warranty is INCORRECT. TC model comes with 5 ur warranty. Also, the level of amenities as far as electronics is NOT taken into account with the HD. You could ADD all that MAYBE but the price is nowhere near as quoted. As far as resale value, yes IF you have someone willing to pay that. Obviously there is. When you look at COST OF OWNERSHIP, or repair costs and frequency of repairs (reliability) again HD falls WAY short, unless you’re one of those gear heads that do it all themselves. I am for the most part, but I’d rather be riding than repairing. In my rides of HD full dressers, the unit did not feel “solid”. It’s like the bags and stuff were hung on it but not solidly integrated so it left a “jiggly” feeling IMHO. I do agree that a downside is that Yamaha went with air cooled. I’ve been riding on some 80 degree days already and it is warm but not intolerable. Don’t forget that TV has 38 GALLONS of storage onboard. HD is not even close.

  12. WOWZY WOW WOW WOW is THAT drop dead GORGEOUS or what!!!!!! Thats so purdy I wouldnt want to cover it up by sitting on it!!!!! :scared:

Would love to see more pics and some vids Chief - both very easy to do.. With pics the number one issue folks have (IMHO) is trying to load pics that are to big. I set my cheapy camera to econo mode and dont have to resize em before stickin em on the club house wall. If you find that you cant do that, resizing using "Paint" is always an option - clip em down to smaller than 1000x500 and you should be good to go.. Vids are wayyyyyyyyyyy easy,,, just load up to YouTube and copy/paste the URL into any of your post and BINGO - up pops the vid (demo below).. Its fun and entertaining IMHO but be forewarned - I find doing the vids addictive and I got NOTHING (well,,,other than my 1 year old grandson but his mommy wont let me plaster vids of him all over the internet:grandpa:) even close to as showable as the seat on your new scoot - you will definitely get addicted!!!!!!

PLEASE SHOW THAT PUPPY OFF TO US CHIEF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Ok, here ya go!

  13. I am really shocked at all this Yam and truly sorry to hear of your plight.. Here locally in West Michigan the new Venture is actually a pretty hard sell for our dealerships. I know that our closest one (Babbitts in Muskegon) has them in stock and are shaving prices trying to sell one. The salesman who I talked to there when I went down to look at the new Wing simply said "dont look good for Yamaha" when I asked about how it was going with the new Venture/Eluder sales as I tripped over the red one setting right next to the entrance door...

Our other local dealer to the north has historically a hard time selling streetbikes (still has left over Honda CTX's for CHEAP as an example) and they are in the same boat.. David Allen Racing is the name of that dealership if anyone is looking for a good deal on a new Venture - really nice workable bunch of guys up there!! This dealer is in Fremont Mi and is directly across the street from a Harley shop.. The two dealerships are owned by really good guys and I can tell you that in this area,,, the flow of HD riders jumping ship from big twin HD to big twin Venture is nothing like mentioned above.. Matter of fact,,, here in our area - it seems to be a consensus that if a person is gonna spend HD type $$'s for a big twin air cooled belt driven push rod touring bike they may as well just grab a Harley,,,,, definitely not like up in Canada by the sounds of things... Wonder if with exchange rates as they are and the willingness to deal down here as it is,,, why not drop into one of our shops and grab one??

I am really not to surprised that you couldnt get delivery to your door though right from Mom Yam as the bikes come crated and must be put together and as part of the deal I knew it was illegal for them to sell you a crated scoot.. When I had my dealership years ago I did purchase some left over Yamaha dirtbikes out of Canada though at auction (wow was that lucrative) all with MSO so the same rules may not apply up there.... Either way,,, sad to hear your plight,,,,,,, maybe time to call Mom Yam and see if she wont step on some dealership toes for ya... Seems she would after all the holdup and if she wants to sell the things and actually turn the touring world upside down like she said she was gonna do..

All I can tell you is what I’ve experienced here in the South. As a matter of fact, there is a HD dealer I found online that is selling Ventures! Oh, BTW; as far as value goes, you will not find a comparably equipped HD for anywhere near the price of the SVTC.

I went to a local biker bar (hard core HD riders) who came out to look at my SVTC. After covering all the functions, price & Warrantee one of the riders said “MAN! If this is what Yamaha is doing SCREW Harley!”

  14.

When I picked up my SVTC in late December, there was a software update that had been put out shortly before the bike was delivered. Please check your version to make sure the dealership installed it before they delivered it. I’m having ZERO problems with my Nav system. Haven’t tried the multiple “waypoints” yet as was mentioned. One of the things that IRKS me is that you can’t save stuff by name. INLY by the address. Also, you have to enter in your country and state each time. You would think it would know that or at least default to the country you’re in. Supposedly a huge update coming. I hope it resolves ALL these issues!

in case you didn’t know, you can put all your mp3’s On a stick and plug it in the USB1 (rht front) and it will play all your songs. NOTE: Be sure to go into EACH SONG and make sure the data is filled in correctly ie Title, Artist, Album, Genre or it WILL NOT Be searchable. If you set it up correctly, it’s awesome!

  15. That seat looks da*n fantastic. Happy and safe rides. For not getting my bike yet...as I typed the facts...it is totally the dealer's malfeasance, and yes...not Yamaha Corp. THEY (Yamaha) did try to deliver my unit in February. The dealer did me wrong by not contacting me, to advise...and act if I would accept it at my house, before denying the delivery attempt.

But...letting this charade drag on...isn't in my play list. Like I said, if he can give me a definitive YES...we have it coming...here's a copy of the shipping VIN by the end of April, then fine, but if not...not interested any longer.

Your bike looks great! I should have had mine since mid February! At least, a chance to say deliver it to me, via dealer trailer or truck....and yes, not Yamaha's fault. They need to take this up with their dealer...and I hope they lurk here. If they contact me...I'll surely give them the particulars. You can bet...but not before I get every dollar refunded that's owed to me, right? Right....

    Cheers,

    Joe

Dont give up on the SVTC Joe! You will not be disappointed! You will however if you buy HD. My local dealer has had a number of HD riders come and trade their HD in on a new SVTC!
  16. Thank you for posting! You're killing me...

Here's what I found out from Yamaha...and I'm quite upset about it...

I didn't lay out my $500.00 deposit until the last part of October/17. So..I actually missed the Priority Delivery Program window. My dealer said that they (by what Yamaha Canada) told them...was that they should start delivering to dealers around the first week of January/18. Anyways...I was monitoring the web like a hawk, and saw (even on this forum site) that other's had started to take delivery of their SVTC's. I let it rest until around February, and then started to call weekly my dealer, to see if they heard anything about my getting my bike shipped to them. They kept advising me that they were told; 'it was coming'.

    So was the second Revelation...

Anyways, I then got a call that (about three weeks ago) that it was 'on the dock'. Ok...excitement and anticipation starts to mount. Well...quite frankly...here's what happened, and the bottom line, is that I got played by my dealer. Will I get my bike? He now tells me by the end of this month (April)

Here's what happened...Yamaha Canada called my dealer in mid February, and advised (this is finally the truth coming out of the owner of the dealership (because I threatened to contact Yamaha Canada directly and get to the bottom of this very late delivery...) to tell them that my bike shipping carton is being sent. He DECLINED it! Didn't want to have the space taken up with its footprint, when I advised him that I wanted to take delivery of it after the snow and salt get's gone. Fine...he said, when I purchased it back in October. Never told me he didn't want to, or wouldn't store it on site, on the day last October being ordered. So...Yamaha Canada did not send it to him...but sent 'my reserved bike' onto another dealer. They don't keep it in their warehouse either. So then...my dealer ('cause I wanted to start seeing this come into the dealership and get readied for March 1rst) called Yamaha to have my bike sent to them. Guess what? THEY DIDN'T HAVE STOCK TO SEND HIM! Then..(I'm now really getting pi**ed, and who could blame me...) So, my dealer did NOT tell me the truth...in that he has been 'waiting and waiting' upon Yamaha Canada to send him my ordered bike. A crock of B.S.!

It never did pass the 'stench' test...anyway, all these months since October....

So, where I am today...quite frankly is in limbo. My dealer (he called me last early last week) and advised me that he has been in contact with 'higher up's' at Yamaha, and they have three metallic reds coming in this month, and that one of them WILL be assigned me, as he explained to them that it was his fault...not the customer's in that when they wanted to send my bike last February/18, he refused the delivery (for storage space constraint, ((he also sells snowmobiles, generators, etc)) and wanted space for those, in season. WTF!) Ok...but what he SHOULD HAVE DONE...is to have called me...advised me that Yamaha Canada wanted to send in mid February, he could not store it until late April, or May...and could he deliver it to my house by truck? If I would have got that courtesy call, back in February, I would have said yes...rather than my wanting to have ridden it home, in April or early May. I never got the option!

So, (my cry in my beer story is almost over, lol) I don't 'have' a hard delivery date from my dealer or Yamaha Canada. What I have, is a less than happy experience with my first Yamaha dealer experience. Will I get the bike? Frankly, I don't know. I DID tell my dealer, that we are done...the deal is cancelled if I do NOT have it physically by the end of April. I ordered the bike on the 28th of October..and this coming 28th of April will be 6 freakin' months...to the day. That is enough time for any (way over enough reasonable time) for a purchaser, to get a bike he/she ordered. I could go right now to a number of Toronto area dealers, and buy a bike right off their showroom floor (lots of Grey's around)...and yet, I don't have mine? I'm going to get my deposit back...and be done with it, for this year, if I can't get a red crated dealer stock from any other dealer. If not...(I don't do floor models...) I'll wait for the '19's to come out...and will only purchase, if I know that I order...and it gets shipped within two-three weeks from Yamaha Canada's stock. This has left, quite frankly a **bad taste** in my mouth...but not anything regarding the bike. It's regarding dealers that once they have you...their interests, come before yours, as the customer. I have learned a lesson in all this. So folks...wish me luck. I wish to join you folks that have already been taken delivery of..and are enjoying your rides. Either it happens for me, within two weeks...or I'm done. The Yamaha dealer WILL be cutting me a check for my full trade in and cash deposit. THAT is what I might end up only taking 'delivery' of.

I do have my Kawasaki ZR7S, so am not out of riding for this season...but my wife...lord, my wife will be so bummed out. She does not like to ride behind me on the Kawa...and I don't blame her. Sport Bikes, were never meant for two up...heck...just look at the co-rider seat of any of 'em... I wouldn't want to be sitting on that...with being able to lean my head ON MY KNEES! LOL.

So...that's the story about a man named; Jed. Wish me luck...I really want to own one...and not merely a vapor bike as the bride, and myself as the groom standing for 6 months at the Yamaha alter...:(

Post Edit: The only saving grace of this whole experience, is that we wanted to sell,or trade, our 2008 Honda Goldwing anyways...and I got actually, a private sale price...so not sweating that. I'll get my full trade-in and $500.00 deposit back. It is the Yamaha dealer, that will ultimately lose here. No sale of an SVTC, to a cross over from Honda, customer...and loss of his going forward, shop revenue maintenance expenditures. Either I will get my SVTC, will look at '19's, or will look at the Harley Ultra Classic (with Milwaukee 8) in the Fall. I know that I can at least----> GET ONE!

Yamaha in general really stumbled on their SVTC and Eluder introductory year, roll out. No doubt about that!

    Joe

I had to wait almost 6 months myself. I put the $500 down last July 24th., but sue to production delays I didn’t get it until Dec 29th. There is however a GOLDEN lining in this though. BEFORE I put my money down I did some research and found a dealer in Texas (I’m in North Carolina) that was offering a $2000 discount if you put the $500 Priority Delivery down. I called my local dealership and asked if they’d honor it, and they DID! Then when the production delay happened, Yamaha gave me $1000 towards any extras just for my troubles of having to wait! I’m sorry your dealership is so lame. Just know that it’s THEIR fault NOT ymamaha’s. Did you know that the SVTC comes with a 5 year unlimited mileage warranty? As part of that, if my rider and I have a breakdown, they will pay for towing, repairs AND put you up at a hotel and food while thebbike is being repaired! No THATS backing your product!

Ive already started customizing my baby. Wish I knew how to post pictures and video. I’ve had the seat Custom upholstered in alligator & snakeskin. Also installed an XKGlow Professional series led lighting package (took 18hrs to install).

  17. Thanks for that observation. So I wonder..is this sort of a on/off switch as well. Does this press once, until you press again, also happen with the rider's trigger PTT?

I do know now, by watching the instructional video on the communication side of things, that if you enable the VOX (Voice Activated icon box, by turning it 'on') you will get the same standard operation as my old 2008 Wing. That is, you turn on the Intercom System, and it is just that...'ON'. My wife and I then merely spoke when we wanted to. The music (if I had that also turned on) would be playing, then when we spoke to each other, the music program would mute, and she or I would speak. If there was a three second pause in voice, from either of us, the music program would come back up to set or auto volume (based on wind or mechanical noise).

So, I see that I (don't have the actual bike yet) can set VOX (Voice Command Mode and voice initiated) to on, and set the sensitivity of our J&M Elite Series 801 microphones, so this also occurs. This is how we want to run the Intercom. Not to have to keep manually P(ress)T(o)T(alk).

The other observation is that compared to my 2008 GL1800, I have such incredible control of everything. Not only--->can you turn a feature on, but then there are sub-menus to fine tune that feature to your very specifications and needs. Again for instance, we could never adjust the mic's sensitivity pick-up threshold, on what came with our 2008 tech. You can't even do that stand alone with our J&M helmet headsets. No provision for it (the cord model) If Bluetooth does, I don't have that knowledge.

The fact that the SVTC Infotainment system comes with its own very detailed, manual...should be a warning that this is a full fledged smorgasbord of tech delight, lol! I've been dieting...so bring it on, lol. Yeah..I'm going to really enjoy this bike...yep.....

For one thing, never had the ability to bring up text messages, via our two phones, via a voice command to initiate, and tell the system to display, or speak it out with the A.I. This is so cool...so cool. That you can dictate a message while you are even riding, or make or receive calls, hand's free. Wow....

    Joe

I was on the Priority Delivery program and put my order in last July. Didn’t get it until late December! It was well worth the wait! It’s so cool riding along and then caller ID shows up on the screen with incoming calls. If you haven’t noticed, the system also has capabilities for a BACKUP camera. I’ve already ordered my manual so I can find the tie ins.ALSO, BIG BIKE has already come out with a trailer hitch for it! With the backup camera installed you can check how your rig is towing without having to try and turn around! They really thought of everything on that it! The right Fromt pocket has a USB port. I have a 32GB stick with all my mo3’s on it. NOTE: make sure you go into the properties of EACH SOMG and have all the data filled out for Artist, Albumn, Genre, Title. If you don’t, the database will not be searchable. If done right it pulls it all up and you can play by artist, albumn, genre!!

Wow....
