  1. My No. 262 purchased in ND says it's California CARB as well. I wondered what that meant.
  2. I ran my update and it ran flawlessly in about 20 minutes. Sorry to hear you're having issues, but Condor is right. Have the dealer take care of it. That's why they have warranties!
  3. I updated my firmware this weekend, and it went smoothly in less than 20 minutes. Piece of cake!
  4. I am one of the former Victory riders who switched. I've ridden a Vision for 10 years, and until now there was not another bike on the planet that could hold a candle to it. After Polaris dropped the bomb on us Vic owners (and the dealers) I test rode the Venture in Florida in February, came back to North Dakota and bought the first Venture to hit the dealer showroom. It is the only bike with even more comfort, luggage capacity, and premium features than the Vision has had for a decade. I've got only 150 miles on so far, but I love it...and more importantly, my WIFE loves it. Nice part is, I didn't have to have my winged "V" tattoo inked over! This is my 5th Yamaha over the years, and it is the finest bike I've ever ridden. I compared it to the HD Ultra Classic and the Indian Roadmaster. No contest! Can't wait to put on some real miles. My only disappointment is finding out I need to spend $300 for a valve adjustment every 15,000 miles. I had 40,000 on the Vision with nothing required but an oil change.
  5. My wife and I rode one while on vacation in Florida last month, came home and bought it at HER urging! After riding a Victory Vision for the past 10 years and just shy of 40,000 miles, I'm looking forward the coming ad-Venture! (Pun intended) It took a long time for someone to build a bike even more comfortable than the Victory. My last Yamaha was a 1974. Looks to me like they have a winner here. Rode it down the street yesterday when they delivered it. 34 degrees. Today, 14 degrees and snow.
