Cover and antenna
Mimurph replied to DanielM's topic in Star Venture and Eluder Tech Talk ( '18 - Present)
I had a cheap dowco cover that I snipped at couple of holes into. It works nice -
Another question. Can the risers be installed in the other direction? You know like the east/west instead of north south. If so can you measure the inside space between the risers, and then the total Outside to outside. And third the height of the risers? One more thing. The height of top of the riser when it's full down.. With these measurements, I should be able to tell if it will work.. Thanks in advance.. Murph

I had a liquid cooled bike that was as hot as air cooled.. Everything gets superheated under the fairing and the frame and tank will roast your nuts. So we're even.. 😁

New Venture Pricing

My dealer sold below msrp. I was happy. I also purchased almost 3 grand in accessories. I got a discount on parts too. If he wants a sale, he better be flexible -
Someone on the Facebook page posted this.. I have two helmets with J&M Performance series headsets. Bought a J&M Harley 7 pin cord compatible with the headset and they both work just fine. The comm set Yamaha is selling for the SV is the Harley 7 pin current 801 series. This cord will work. Bought this cord for my wifes 801 series headset. https://www.jmcorp.com/ProductDetail.asp?ProductID=HC-ZYH

3rd generation GPS infotainment issues

I've heard of shaping points... Is that what you mean.. If so I'm not sure if they will count towards the waypoint maximum or not -

You are correct... Harmon is the manufacturer. I have not checked the GPS sites like you suggested, but I will. I have found out some info on route shaping in Basecamp. Problem is I have real old maps on my Garmin and they want an arm and a leg for new maps.. Then I'm not 100 % sure that they will work.. That's what happens when you get in on the ground floor.. You become a beta tester. 😁 -

You can create a route and export gpx file to the motorcycle.. It's just the small number of waypoints. I'm trying to figure out the best /easiest way to make it work until they hopefully fix the problem. -
I have found out that there is a maximum amount of waypoints of five plus a destination. How the heck am I supposed to follow these tiny roads without dropping a few waypoints.. I've heard that harley has 100 points.. Is the a workaround for us until the get their act together?

Yamaha along with everyone else realized that the new upcoming riders want all the gadgets and gizmos... It's bitter sweet but I think it's gonna get even more hi tech with electric.. Would you ride an electric motorcycle if you could get 200 mile range? I don't think it would be as cool, but it will be more common in the future.. I will try to learn as much as I can, and be safe while riding with a big smile on my face this summer!
