  1. Crisis has been averted.... the broken piece is out finally after a lot of cursing, coffee breaks, and a lot of luck. Now only need new bolts which of course yamaha canada has on back order....2-3 weeks (yuck)
  2. So getting the old slave clutch out and the new one in...not so bad I went to torque the top bolt in and it snapped...now I'm screwed the service manual says 87 ft lb, did I read this wrong or perhaps was it weakened bolt? I now need to get this out. Any ideas? Has anyone else had to deal with this. Or should I just take her to the shop? Very pissed at myself at the moment......ugh
  3. Thanks all for the tips and links to the other info. I started last night by bleeding the clutch line and cleaning the gunk out of the clutch master. The middle gear cover is off and cleaned up. Tackling the removal of slave tonight and finish cleaning all parts tomorrow night. Hopefully my parts get here tomorrow so I can put "humpty dumpty" back together again on Saturday.
  4. I'm replacing the clutch slave on my 2001 RSV. Looking to see if anyone has any step by step instructions, pics, or just general points to make it less painful. My parts should be here by Friday , so I'm looking to remove the old one before that. Any help you guys can offer is appreciated
  5. I will be changing both front and rear tires in the sping. So far I think I'm going with the stock sizes, and I'll use a combo of the Dunlop E3 on the front and the Commander II on the back. Anyone have thoughts o this combination// Good points or bad are welcome.
  6. I have the same issue. Mine is out by 5km/h. If im doing 100km/h, its reading 105km/h. Checked this against my GPS.
