Venturezach Posted October 31, 2018 Posted October 31, 2018 Hi everyone! I’m excited to announce that the single carb conversion is a success! Unfortunately now I am having a problem with the starter clutch. When I attempt to start her up I get the dreaded “rocks in the case” sound. I had the cover off about a year or so ago to replace the stator. Replaced original stator with the one from ricks motorsports. I didn’t know about the starter clutch then, or I would’ve had a look at it when I did the stator(doh!). I’ve got a pretty good idea on how to do the procedure from looking at other threads on here. I’d really like a bulletproof clutch that is offered by Dano so I won’t ever have to worry about it again. On the bright side, she is about due for an oil change anyways.
Venturezach Posted October 31, 2018 Author Posted October 31, 2018 Got an email from Dano about the starter clutch. Now all I have to do is pull it off and send it to him. Way easier said than done!
