cheny Posted October 8, 2018 Share #1 Posted October 8, 2018 Would like to move the trunk and passenger back rest on my new 18 venture. has any one don this yet?
Freebird Posted October 8, 2018 Share #2 Posted October 8, 2018 I took a hard look at that and there is really no easy way to do it. The backrest bolts through a steel support that is welded to the trunk bracket. It would take some major fabricating, cutting, welding to move it. Just curious is there a second set of holes in the tour pack itself?
Freebird Posted October 8, 2018 Share #4 Posted October 8, 2018 There is not. I've had mine off and looked carefully. Even if there was, there is no way to move the tour pack back. I posted a diagram of the assembly here in another thread. The passenger backrest bolts go through the welded steel backrest support and then through the trunk. No way to move that welded support back without some major fabricating skills.

Freebird Posted October 8, 2018 Share #7 Posted October 8, 2018 I know it could be done but after doing a nice ride with the wife, she said that she was fine the way it is. I was glad to hear that.
