dharnie Posted April 27, 2008 Share #1 Posted April 27, 2008 I got the nuts off but not sure what to do next to remove the front speakers. Somewhere there is a detailed procedure that I reviewed a few weeks ago with pics but I can't seem to find it. Anyone know where the post might be hidden here in this forum? dharnie Posted April 28, 2008 Author Share #2 Posted April 28, 2008 Never got feed back here or found the forum - BUT - I did get the speakers replaced soon after my post here. Once the nuts were off then it was a matter of very gently prying with a very small screw driver & wiggling the speaker grilles which have the bolt heads secured in them. The Polk speakers sound great. Before 20 on the volume knob caused 1 OEM speaker to rasp. Now it can be cranked up to 30 and 25 is very adequate. Since I am running fish tails I need the extra volume.
ahoutzer Posted April 28, 2008 Share #3 Posted April 28, 2008 Mine has never been turned past seventeen, and I can't remember how long ago that was. When it's cold and my head is wrapped in a warm scarf inside my helmet and I have a bluetooth phone headset in one ear and I'm listening to talk (rather than music) then I have it up to sixteen. So, the volume control goes up to thirty?
