mraf Posted May 6, 2017 Share #1 Posted May 6, 2017 My left front foot peg is losing all of its nubs. My question is this, I can buy a rear footpeg that looks like it has hardly any use. Does the rear foot pegs have the same folding angle as the front foot pegs? Are they interchangeable?
bongobobny Posted May 6, 2017 Share #2 Posted May 6, 2017 From what I remember they are the same part. Only the MK1 had rear pegs, with the MK2, as you already know, the rear passenger has fold down floorboards. You could always disassemble your pegs and replace the rubbers as I am about 95% sure they are the same...
skydoc_17 Posted May 6, 2017 Share #3 Posted May 6, 2017 Bobby is correct, You will need to disassemble the MKI rear foot peg, and install the rubber from the MKI foot peg on the front foot peg of your bike. Earl
mraf Posted May 11, 2017 Author Share #4 Posted May 11, 2017 Ok, in looking at the pictures on e-bay there was one seller that took multiple pictures of a 83 rear footpeg in excellent condition. I thought why not spring for it being it was only $14.40 with free shipping. Well it came yesterday. I took it out to the garage and took the cotter pin out and pulled out the pin to remove it from the 83 holder. Took mine off and lo and behold it fit perfectly. No removing the rubber or anything! Thanks for the answers. Momma Yamaha used their heads for once unstead of making whole new units.
