1988 venture battery light on

have problems with 1988 venture battery light staying on. Even though the battery is at 14 volts. is there a way to reset it

The warning light is just indicating low electrolyte level, NOT voltage. What kind of battery is in it? Does it have the probe inserted?

no probe that I can see. will have to look for it. think the battery came for batteries' plus. The wife brought it home. When I got the bike it did not have a battery

Unhook the battery probe that is in the right hand cell. If it is not there, find it and unhook it.

If you don't have a probe in the top of the battery, then the light will stay on until you do a mod to the circuit.

The battery indicator light is indicating the electrolyte level is low, as stated above. If the sensor is missing , there is a work around for AGM type batteries that do not use a probe. Go to this link below and read thread #2 and click on the link indicated. It will explain how to take care of the problem.

Ooops, two minutes late...........story of my life...A dollar short and a day late! LOL
