Guest snake_1962 Posted March 31, 2008 Share #1 Posted March 31, 2008 Has anyone installed one of these on a RSTD? I have a 2005 TD and am thinking of getting one of these kits. Snake:225:

eagleeye Posted March 31, 2008 Share #3 Posted March 31, 2008 Having an 05 RSTD, I'd want to know why you want one. Steve
Carbon_One Posted March 31, 2008 Share #4 Posted March 31, 2008 Having an 05 RSTD, I'd want to know why you want one. Steve For the same reason we use them on the Ventures. Much easier to get both forks evenly balanced. I've seen then for sale on either J&P Cycle or Dennis Kirks before. Larry BTW: love using it on my bike. kbran Posted March 31, 2008 Share #5 Posted March 31, 2008 Got mine from here http://www.denniskirk.com/jsp/search/search.jsp?searchString=progressive%20suspension%20balance&sort=pricedesc&np=0&av=6393
Guest snake_1962 Posted March 31, 2008 Share #6 Posted March 31, 2008 Got mine from here http://www.denniskirk.com/jsp/search/search.jsp?searchString=progressive%20suspension%20balance&sort=pricedesc&np=0&av=6393 That's the link I found on this site. Dennis Kirk sells them for $23.99 or there abouts. I have a very difficult time adjusting fork pressures evenly and usually end up with no air in the front forks. I just want to know if its as easy to install as they say on a TD, and is it worthwhile getting. Thanks Snake

Don't see why it would be any harder. Not hard to install at all and if you want to use some air in the front forks it is worthwhile because they will be even. I've got about 3lbs. in mine and the kit does not leak. By the way you can only put 7lbs. in the front forks if I am not mistaken.
