K-Rider Posted February 8, 2015 Share #1 Posted February 8, 2015 I was working on my 87' Venture today and I finally got around to getting my radios to work. It surprised me when everything lite up and started working. Its amazing what a new fuse will do. But my problem was with the CB. It scans thru the channels and doesn't stop on any of them. Like its seeking a cannel that's being used. I have been restoring this bike for the last 3 months. I took the CB apart and cleaned the buttons because they were sticking. This was at a earlier time. I might have done something I shouldn't have done while I was cleaning it. Does anyone have any ideals on this?
Prairiehammer Posted February 8, 2015 Share #2 Posted February 8, 2015 Mine did that once. A teeny shot of WD40 on the push buttons and it was good as new.
K-Rider Posted February 8, 2015 Author Share #3 Posted February 8, 2015 That sounds as easy as putting in a new fuse. I'll give it a try. Thanks!

Crud builds up on the side of the buttons and they stick in the pressed position. I had a similar problem with my DX/LOC switch.
