Eck Posted March 17, 2008 Share #2 Posted March 17, 2008 I would not think it matters, but I may be wrong here. You have to braid them on then tie the ends anyway. What type are you looking at?

Eck Posted March 17, 2008 Share #4 Posted March 17, 2008 they wont lace tight if they are tappered and i order wide. Ridefree40, I have the leather fringe on my levers and at the present moment (I'm at work) I can only look at a picture, and in the picture (see attached) my levers appear to be tappered.. The lace is tight on mine.. I had to un-tie the lace, and re-lace mine three times to ge them tight because the leather streached. You will have to re-lace them a couple times even if your levers are not tappered I would think because it does stretch.
beyeker Posted March 17, 2008 Share #5 Posted March 17, 2008 Eck, What kind do you have? I would like some for my 2007. Do the fringes fly around while you drive?

Eck Posted March 17, 2008 Share #8 Posted March 17, 2008 Just a thought, has any one tried soaking them in water then tightening them up, once dry they sould be there for keeps!! I have not soaked them in water, but mine are tight. I have been caught in down pouring rain for miles, maybe that helped tighten them??
