My Next Project,

DarrinGT

Recommended Posts

I picked up a trailer last week and will be turning it into our Motorcycle Hauler. Lori and I do a couple of camping trips with the Truck and 5th wheel and I have been wanting to get a trailer to tow behind the 5ver and bring the bike.

Last year I borrowed a beautiful Aluma Trailer from my Bro who owns Grandville Trailer.

But since I dont want to spend $2,500.00 on a new trailer that will only get used a couple times a year, and dont want to borrow one every time, I picked this little guy up.

New bearings and tires, lights and wiring, for $200.00. Gonna get rid of the putting green grass, install the front wheel chuck forward where it is pictured, and the aluminum ramp will fold up and store on the side of where the bike will sit.

Should have it done this week, since we will be heading out of town next Sunday for a week.

More to come later,..

I liked the idea of a Portable Putting Green, take it to fairs and festivals, as a side business, but decided against it.

Think the capacity is 1250# but will double check, should be just fine for the bike.

KillDrag65 Now all u need is a rear facing camera so you can see if it is still attached and don't have to watch for .the dreaded passing car with waving and pointing arms.
Kevin, I have been looking into the camera idea, I had that situation last year while dragging the rig, but it was a sewer hose that came out of the bumper and was unraveling behind us about 35 feet as it got caught on the back of the Aluminum Trailer. That was interesting,...

[ NOW HERE IS A MAN AFTER MY HEART !!! I LOVE THE OLD FORD TRUCK !! I am a fan of the pre-97 ford trucks !!! :thumbsup2::clap2::cool10:="Blue"][/color]

I like the looks of those trucks too. However, I traded my 94 F150 4x4 on a new 2000 F150 4x4 because there was so much wind noise around the cab on the 94 and the front tires cupped out and there wasn't any way to stop the cupping with those sort of dual ibeam axles. The 2000 was so much quieter on the interstate and the front tires did not cup. I drove on the interstate a lot. In my opinion the 97 - 03 F150s are the most reliable trucks Ford ever made except maybe for the 97 and 98 V6s. I currently have a 2002F150lariatSCAB4x4 that I never intend to get rid of.
