Flyinfool Posted June 12, 2014 Share #2 Posted June 12, 2014 It is possible that you are simply that far out of sync. Been there done that but only had one column pegged.

frankd Posted June 12, 2014 Share #4 Posted June 12, 2014 Then adjust the low cylinders (by turning the screws for them ccw) until they go up and match the higher ones. Then raise the idle speed back up and do it again.
keithert Posted June 12, 2014 Share #5 Posted June 12, 2014 Is that a Carbtune? Does it need any additional parts for a Venture? I'm looking at ordering one.
Flyinfool Posted June 12, 2014 Share #6 Posted June 12, 2014 The only additional thing needed with the Carbtune is a screwdriver to make the adjustments.

Neil86 Posted June 12, 2014 Share #8 Posted June 12, 2014 The idle speed screw sets the #2 carb throttle plate....so if the right 2 cylinders on your synch tool are carrying the load the idle speed screw has been backed off trying to reduce idle speed. As Frank says...as you adjust the right bank the engine will slow down, so you have to screw in the idle speed screw opening the #2 plate and its vacuum should start dropping. rcbailey56 Posted June 12, 2014 Share #9 Posted June 12, 2014 Just to say it another way On the left side of the bike there is an idle speed screw that syncs carb #1 with carb #2. On the right side of the bike there are two idle speed screws, one of them syncs carb #3 with carb #4 and the other screw syncs the left side (#s 1 and 2) with the right side (#s 3 and 4).
