Howard B Posted February 4, 2014 Share #1 Posted February 4, 2014 Well here I sit thinking about riding. I had hernia surgery last thursday and have been told no no no driving. Loaded the bike on the back of the bus last wednesday so thats done. We will leave this area (Menifee, Ca.) on the 7th. Hopefully I will be able to drive by then. If anyone has wanted hernia surgery, my advice would be put it off or do as the Dr. says. Limit activity to watching TV or holding down the couch for a long while. Bruising is spectacular, the wife wanted to take pictures. I said NO.

Howard B Posted February 4, 2014 Author Share #4 Posted February 4, 2014 The only time it bothered me to turn my head and cough was when SHE told me to!
VentureFar Posted February 4, 2014 Share #5 Posted February 4, 2014 Had it done about 10 years ago. It totally amazed me that lifting anything heavier than a loaf of bread caused pain, but it passed. It was embarrassing to ask the 17 year old "box girl" at the market to bring my groceries to the car....that was the worst. It healed soon enough. Catch up on your reading the Iron Butt magazines.. Feel better, VentureFar...
