Squidley Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 Does anyone here have some insight on what weight oil, and approximately how much one of the 1st gen rear shocks take. I have a bad shock on the back of the '83, and I have what I believe to be a good replacement in the garage. I'd like to drain as much of the old oil out as I can and replace it with some fresh proper weight oil. If anyone has some info or could steer me in the right direction I would appreciate it
frankd Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 I believe the shocks are nitrogen charged, and you'd loose the nitrogen if you open the shock.
