Need Help Reading the Trip Odometer.

I would like to someday revisit the place of my accident. I last gased up at Big Pine, CA. Then headed East on hwy 168 then connected to hwy 266 then crossed into Nevada. I never reached hwy 95.

 

The picture is of the speedometer. The Trip Odometer is really hard to read.

 

What do you think it reads.

 

I'm guessing that I rode about ruffly an hour.

Looks like it is just starting to turn 11.1.

Well it is 134 miles from Big Pine CA to Beatty NV. And the police officier said I was in the state of Nevada. I'm guessing that I was about 1/3 to 1/2 the way there.

I would say it is 44.? But, since you have the assembly out, just read it from the back side.

Brian, it looks like "011.1" to me. My guess is that the trip meter was reset upon impact, but as sometimes happens it didn't reset all the way to zero.

I'd think any accident report made by an investigating officer would have the MM location on it at the least. These day maybe even GPS coordinates.

 

I know when I was doing safety investgations it was down to the foot by foot reports.

 

And I agree with Kevin. I've seem odos get deranged from a heavy impact. Might of have made some internal adjustments.

I blew up your photo and inverted the colors ..... what I see seems to fall inline with the 11.1 thinking of the others......idunno

I agree...the accident report would give you the most accurate location. Should be easy enough to get a copy from your insurance company. Or maybe the police department either where it happened or you local department.
