abhix Posted February 3, 2008 Share #1 Posted February 3, 2008 :confused24:Hi. Have read the headlight change in the tech deptarment, but when I tried to go to the coolbulb.com site, I get nothing. Has the site name changed?? Or am I just having a bad day? Appreciate your help as I have a broken headlight and WILL NOT pay the ridiculous price of having to change out the whole mechanism as Yamaha wants us to. Thanks in advance. Guest tesnevo Posted February 4, 2008 Share #3 Posted February 4, 2008 If the headlight is broken, the actual glass lens, then the only option you have is a new OEM replacement. The Yammy design incorporates the lens into the bracket in one big "screw-us-over-so-we-can-not-change-it- out-easily-or-cheap-and-have-to-buy-their-proprietary-light" design. Not so, check the tech article.

Eck Posted February 4, 2008 Share #6 Posted February 4, 2008 As Freebird posted, you can purchase the replacement light here: http://www.coolbulbs.com You can email sales and request thier phone number to call them if you wish: sales@coolbulbs.com Tell them you need part number 102HB2 which is the 7 inch round lens. You will re-use your old light bulb so remove it with care from the rear of the old housing and it fits into the rear of the new light housing assembly. For any questions you may have doing this head light mod, you can email me through this site. I sent you an email with my phone number..
abhix Posted February 4, 2008 Author Share #7 Posted February 4, 2008 Thanks for the comments folks. Appreciate it. I guess coolbulbs doesn't have these lights right now as their website says the supplier dried up, but they should have another in a couple months or so. Guess I will take their advise and see if I can find some at another location. Thanks again.
